We all know
that first impressions are unavoidable, and speak volumes
whether we like it or not. So it is in our best interest to
know what message we are sending and be able to change it if
we want to send a slightly different one. Take a look at your
look and see if you can determine what it comes across as to
other people. The best place to start is the wardrobe
department. A good rule of thumb is to give anything you
haven’t worn in the past year to the Salvation Army. Without
spending tons of money, which is quite possible replace lost
items with staples than represent your “look” more fully. This
is not the time to try to be someone or something that you are
not, but it is the time to figure out what really looks good
on you and sends the perfect vibes for your personality.
Hair is something a little bit difficult because even if you
see a picture of a style in a magazine that you like it
doesn’t necessarily mean it is going to look like that on
your head. Factors such as natural hair type, like curly
or straight, thin or thick, glossy or frizzy, and blonde or
black, all play a big part in what styles, cuts, and colors
are really going to look good on you. Also, know how much work
you’re willing to endure to get that desired frock, because if
you want a flirty layered flip-out do and you have medium
weight wavy hair…you better love to blow dry and straight-iron
your hair. To really get the most bang for your beautician
visit find a cut that looks great in several different styles.
So then you can look cute as a button with it straight, or
wavy, or even up in a twist or pony tail. Guys also need to be
conscious of their cut, if it is up to date and flattering to
their facial structure, and if their hair color could use a
boost! Guys will be amazed with the dramatic difference toward
the positive that a little attention in the hair department
will provide. Also, if you’re a guy and not quite as prominent
in the hair department as you used to be, please don’t be
afraid to embrace this side of yourself. A shaved head is
extremely hot and shows a confidence that attracts not only
the best of them but pretty much all of them.
Ladies bad
make-up is similar to when a man tries to cover up a bald spot
but instead just draws even more attention to the thing that
was bothering him. Make-up on a daily basis should not over
step it boundaries and try to make you look like someone else,
it should simply accentuate the you that is already there,
beautifully. Now comes the time when we talk about something
no amount of make-up can do for us, and that is exercise.
Physical activity is the number one skin beautifier, along
with water, and it also is a sure bet in combating depression
and stay at home blues. Exercise is definitely an activity
that is worth getting addicted to.
